Paid Opportunity: FanGate Solutions

I am reaching out with an internship opportunity at Eldora Speedway. I know Jacob spoke to you beginning of this summer and wanted to see if any of your students had any interest for the 4- Crown race next weekend September 24-25. We currently have a need for gate scanners and box office ticket sellers. These positions are paid at $10/hr. This is a tremendous opportunity for students to gain experience in motorsports and the live entertainment industry at one of the largest dirt track venues in the country.

Any help passing this opportunity along would be greatly appreciated.Any questions they can reach me directly at Zach@fangatesolutions.com or call 216-704-4301. Best,Zach Yaecker

We are beginning the process of finding an intern in the area of Event Management for the 2022 Spring semester. Would you mind posting this for any of your students that may be interested? Attached is the position description, which includes instructions on how those interested can go about applying.
The application deadline is Friday, October 8th, and is available to any undergrad (junior or senior) or graduate students that fit the criteria. Students interested in completing their internship during the 2022 Fall semester may apply as well. The only thing we ask is they indicate this when submitting their materials.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Opportunity: YMCA Sports

Hello,
My name is Chris Hakes and I oversee Youth and Adult sports programming for the Atrium Family YMCA and Middletown Area Family YMCA and I am reaching out today because I am looking to add some volunteer staff to fill some of our programming needs for the Fall. I am looking for students that would be interested in coaching in our youth sports program here at the Y.

Our next sports session is our Fall Soccer season that starts up the week of September 18th. The time commitment is one hour a week for practice either Tuesday or Thursday nights with one game on Saturday at our Atrium location unless they want to coach multiple teams, which would be a huge help.

If you have anyone that is interested, feel free to pass along my contact information and I’d be more than happy to answer any questions they may have. Feel free to send this to other departments that may be looking to disseminate volunteer opportunities as well. Email is the easiest and quickest way to get ahold of me because I split time between both buildings.

I am on a rather aggressive timeline so the sooner they are able to get into contact with me the better.

Thanks!

Opportunity: Dayton Icehounds (video/multimedia film work)

I was reaching out to see if you might have any students still looking for an internship.

I know as a student there were limited opportunities to do any kind of video review and multimedia film breakdown which is becoming more and more important in sports and analytics.

I will be coaching a U14 travel hockey team this year and will have quality film of every game. I was reaching out to see if you might have a student that would want to help review and take some notes of the game.

They will not need to have any kind of sports or hockey background- just basic observational skills. This is a super flexible setup that could be done remote and adjusted to meet both yours and the students needs.
Let me know if you think there’s room to work something out here

Thanks,

Steven Perkins

This would be a paid role and would give the students the opportunity to network with the Membership Services team. If you have any students that are interested, please feel free to have them reach out to me.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

Thanks,
