On behalf of Ireland Lacrosse and the 2022 World Lacrosse U21 Men’s Championships, I am pleased to share with you the opportunity for students to apply for internship positions for this August’s event. The championships will be held in Limerick, Ireland at the University of Limerick and will run from August 10-20, 2022, with successful internship candidates due to arrive on campus August 8.

This is an internship program designed for Sports Management students, providing the opportunity to observe and help facilitate a major international sporting event. Interns can expect to gain experience in the areas of game-day operations and assisting participating teams, as well as other departments on an individual basis such as social media campaigns, sports broadcasting, merchandise and fan experience, sports photography, and volunteer staff management!

This internship opportunity comes at a cost of €2,500 or $2,850USD which will cover:

– All Accommodation and Meals for the 12 days

– Airport Transportation to and from Limerick

– The full Internship Program itself

– Complete Uniform and Apparel package from Ireland Lacrosse as well as the Championship event

– Tourism and social excursions throughout the week to better experience Ireland

– Work experience, a positive reference and a resumé builder – pending a job well done!

– Course credit is possible, pending the student’s host University approval.

The only item not included in the cost is the flight to and from Ireland. ALL other costs are covered by the internship program, with the exception of any spending money that interns would like to purchase souvenirs, etc. with.

The cost to participate in the internship program is also 100% tax deductible via Ireland Lacrosse’s US-based 501c3 non-profit, which allows potential interns to fundraise their trip or attract support from sponsors, community members or family members in return for a tax deduction.

All interested internship applicants are asked to complete this google form, and I will be in touch upon their registration!
